Online shopping information for December 2006
Just out of curiosity I looked up some online shopping figures for December 2006. It appears that Google has one again dominated the internet search engine numbers. It is reported (by Nielsen NetRatings) that there were over 3 billion searches performed at Google.
Really, that is not surprising since Google typically dominates the online search requests every other month of the year as well. For December, their ratio was 51% of the searches done for all search engines.
Another interesting figure is that of the Fastest Growing Online Shopping Destination. The winner in that category was Lego. That is an awesome rating for any company. What company would not want to be able to claim that status.
Yet another not so surprising stat involves eBay and Amazon. If you spend any time at all on the web, you probably are aware of both websites at eBay and Amazon and their online stores.
A few of the top online stores for December 2006 were eBay, Amazon, Target, Walmart, BestBuy and Shopping.com network. eBay had the biggest day for unique online visitors a more than 12 million.
