Is there a noticeable difference between the two prescription medications Ambien and Sonata? After reading a little about them, I can’t really tell much difference. Of course I am not a doctor, so the information at the online pharmacies appears a little vague to me.

I have trouble sleeping, well I guess if I was a doctor I say insomnia. With that said, I was trying to determine the difference, if any other than brand name, of Ambien vs Sonata.

I have not looked into over-the-counter sleep aids yet. That is mostly due to my thinking otc sleep aids would not be as effective as prescriptions. And, I do not want to spend another night sitting around wondering if the over the counter stuff from the local pharmacy is going to work.
